We are now looking for a colleague for Tyresta group home LSS who wants to work as a support assistant/support aide. The position involves day, evening, and every other weekend work. Work thus occurs during all days and times of the week. You can read more about the benefits of working for Stockholm City here: https://jobba.stockholm/formaner/ Your role As a professional health creator in unit 4, you should through a salutogenic approach and curious mindset provide support, care, and service based on our residents' individual needs. You are part of the residents' daily lives, providing support and active mentoring to the individual where relationship-building approaches and genuine commitment are your driving forces. The team's employees provide residents with support with household chores, hygiene, and care. We care about residents having meaningful leisure time and good relationships with friends, family, partners, and society, which you naturally support the individual with. This may mean that you support the resident to visit swimming pools, exercise at the gym, visit church/mosque, visit family, participate in Pride parades, political gatherings, or other leisure activities the resident wishes to do. The work includes developing visual supports, using work email, handling phone contacts, and reading and writing social documentation. The position also includes being a support person for one or more residents and holding ombudsman roles. Your competence and experience To be eligible for the position you need to: Have completed education at upper secondary or post-secondary level that gives the professional title of support assistant. Have at least 1 year of work experience from work at a group home LSS 9.9 person category 1. Be able to swim and be comfortable in water. Have good physical fitness to actively participate in residents' various leisure activities. Be able to express yourself fluently in Swedish in speech and writing. We are looking for someone who is professional, stable, and has good ability to handle changing circumstances. You are thorough, engaged, and unpretentious in your approach and invite collaboration. You are relationship-building, interpret in good faith, and see lessons learned when things don't go as planned. You work from the understanding that we are each other's work environment and actively contribute to a learning and pleasant work environment. You express yourself well in speech and writing.
