We provide services to adults with disabilities. Our mission is to offer support and services based on each individual's needs and wishes, and we actively work to promote equality and full participation in society for our residents. The work is characterized by a pedagogical approach, a structured working method, and a low-emotional and respectful manner toward residents and colleagues. We are now seeking a support assistant/support aide to work at Tyresta Group Home LSS during our colleague's parental leave. The temporary position is 65% and involves day, evening, and alternating weekend shifts. Work occurs throughout all days and times of the week. You can read more about the benefits of working at the City of Stockholm here: https://jobba.stockholm/formaner/ Your role As a professional health creator in unit 4, you will provide support, care, and services based on our residents' individual needs using a salutogenic approach and curious mindset. You are part of the resident's daily life, providing support and active guidance to the individual where relationship-building approach and genuine engagement are your driving forces. The team's staff members provide residents with support in household chores, hygiene, and care. We care that residents have meaningful leisure time and good relationships with friends, family, partners, and society – naturally, you will support the individual with this. This may mean supporting residents to visit swimming pools, go to the gym, visit church/mosque, visit family, participate in Pride parades, political gatherings, or other leisure activities the resident wishes to engage in. The work includes developing visual supports, using work email, managing phone contacts, and reading and writing social documentation. The position also includes being a support person to one or more residents and holding advocacy roles. Your competence and experience To be suitable for the position, you need to: Have at least 6 months of work experience from group homes LSS 9.9 target group 1. Be able to swim and feel comfortable in water. Have good physical fitness to actively participate in residents' various leisure activities. Be able to express yourself fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing. It is meritorious for the position if you: Have completed education at upper secondary or post-secondary level that provides the professional title of support assistant. Have current work experience from this type of service. We are looking for someone who is professional, flexible with a good ability to handle changing circumstances. You are engaged, thorough, and unpretentious in your approach and invite collaboration. You are relationship-oriented, interpret charitably, and see lessons when things don't go as planned. You work on the basis that we are each other's work environment and actively contribute to a learning and pleasant workplace. You express yourself well in speech and writing.
