Are you a confident and stable person who wants to help create independence, participation, and security for people in their daily lives? Then this role might be for you. We are now recruiting two staff members for our newly built LSS residential home in the beautiful countryside of Torvalla By. Here you will become part of a competent and experienced work team. We build our approach on low-arousal interaction, clarifying pedagogy, and a strong citizen-centered focus. Working hours are scheduled for mornings, afternoons, evenings, overnight on-call duty, and weekends. Start date to be agreed upon. Your New Job As a support assistant/support staff member, you have a central and meaningful role in the residents' daily lives. You provide individually tailored support based on each person's needs, abilities, and goals, with a focus on creating security, participation, and as independent a life as possible. You are there to support both everyday situations and challenges that may arise, both at home and outside. The work includes practical daily support, such as personal care, medication management, assistance with showering, cleaning, laundry, shopping, and cooking. You also help create structure and plan the day, and accompany residents on activities based on their interests, such as visits to community centers, basketball, or dancing. In your work, you use sign language as an alternative and complementary communication (TAKK), other forms of AAC, clarifying pedagogy, and various types of visual supports when needed. You work from a KASAM-inspired approach where comprehensibility, manageability, and meaningfulness are in focus. Low-arousal interaction is a natural part of the work, as challenging behaviors may occur. For us, community is important. Our LSS residential home has pleasant communal spaces where we create an active and meaningful daily life together. This might include everything from singing, games, puzzles, and shared dinners to creative activities and outings. We welcome new ideas and encourage initiatives that contribute to improved quality of life for our residents. You document daily work in the systems Viva, DF Respons, MCSS, and Boet. The work is carried out in close collaboration with relatives and various professionals, such as licensed staff, support pedagogues, operational support, and speech therapists, to create a secure and well-functioning daily life for the residents. Common Work Tasks Provide support and guidance in residents' daily lives. Plan and create structure together with the resident. Perform personal care. Manage medications according to delegation. Participate in and enable various activities. Document according to applicable procedures. Your Qualifications Requirements Secondary education, preferably with a focus on healthcare, social care, or social work. Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. Good computer skills. Meritorious Experience working with people with disabilities. Experience working with young people. Experience with low-arousal interaction. Experience with the systems Boet, Viva, DF Respons, and MCSS. Knowledge of TAKK and other AAC. Knowledge of intellectual disability (ID). Driver's license (Category B).
