We are now seeking two support assistants for our service housing units. Our service housing units are home to individuals with various disabilities. Our facilities are staffed 24/7, which means that as a support assistant you will work on a schedule with varying work hours. WORK TASKS As a support assistant, you work based on the facility's pedagogical approach and support users in their daily lives through low-affective interactions and clear pedagogy. You work to create security, structure, and participation, as well as to strengthen the user's own resources and conditions for as independent a life as possible. The work involves understanding and preventing challenging behaviors by finding individually tailored strategies and tools. You need to be curious, flexible, and confident in mapping and adapting support based on the user's changing needs. An important part of the role is to promote the user's self-determination and participation by creating opportunities for personal choices. You also collaborate with relatives, guardians, and other important actors around the user. Our work is based on the principle that people do the right thing if they can. When a user cannot manage a situation, our task is to understand why and together find other tools and strategies. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who: • Are trained as a support assistant, nursing assistant, or have other equivalent education • Have previous work experience from LSS activities and work based on a low-affective approach • Are well familiar with digital platforms and have experience documenting in systems • Hold a B-class driver's license As a person, you are secure, attentive, and respectful when meeting users, relatives, and colleagues. You have the ability to remain calm even in challenging situations and adapt your approach based on the individual's needs and circumstances.
