Then you might be the person we're looking for! We are looking for several support assistants for a new group home opening in the fall as well as for one of our existing group homes. You will be part of the Personal Support unit, which in turn belongs to the Social Services and Leisure Department, Bromma District Administration. The group homes house adults with various disabilities. We offer individually tailored support based on the residents' wishes, needs and opportunities. The operations are based on respect, security and participation with reference to LSS, the Act on Support and Service for Persons with Disabilities. The facility is located in Bromma within walking distance to public transportation. You will work scheduled hours day/evening/weekend, weekdays as well as Sundays and holidays. The position at the new group home includes on-call sleeping duty at the workplace. The position at the existing group home does not include night duty. Schedule may change based on operational needs. Your Role As a support assistant with us, you are an important part of our work to actively work and contribute to residents feeling safe, seen, included, appreciated and important. By being curious and responsive to the residents' needs, abilities and dreams, you create health together with your colleagues and manager. This is fundamental to the salutogenic approach that our operations are built on. We use the KOMPASS method in all our operations. As a support assistant you work to provide support and services to residents in their own homes and create meaningful leisure time. The support includes among other things personal care and everyday household tasks. The work includes ongoing digital documentation in ParaSoL and you must ensure that important information is reported. You work in accordance with the facility's agreed procedures, action plans and schedules. We are Looking for Someone Who: • Has experience working with the target group • Has experience working with people with various disabilities such as intellectual disabilities and autism • Has good collaboration skills for well-functioning cooperation with users, colleagues and partners • Has a clear, motivating and encouraging approach • Has a good outlook on people and can see each individual's interests and abilities • Is flexible • Is confident and stable in your professional role and can remain calm in challenging situations • Works in a low-affective manner in your interactions • Enjoys working both independently and in a team, is unpretentious and always has the user's best interests as a starting point • Has good command of the Swedish language, which is important in communication with residents, in documentation and collaboration with colleagues and external contacts. To work with us, it is a prerequisite that you have an interest, willingness and ability to meet our users every day. Your Competence and Experience You need for the position: • nursing assistant education or other upper secondary education with a focus on health and care that can be considered equivalent • good knowledge of and experience with people with functional variations such as intellectual disabilities and neuropsychiatric disabilities, e.g. autism • experience with LSS and knowledge of working with a low-affective approach linked to our pedagogical framework • good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing • good computer skills and experience with social documentation We consider the following as merits: • Knowledge of Sign as Alternative Complementary Communication (TAKK) • Knowledge of alternative communication such as picture support • Experience working with challenging behaviors • Experience with various assistive devices • Category B driving license Stockholm City works with competence-based recruitment aimed at seeing each person's competence and thus counteracting discrimination. To work for Stockholm City with children, youth, the elderly and people with disabilities including work in their homes, you must show an extract from the Police's criminal record and suspicion register. For work with LSS services for children with disabilities you must submit an extract from the Police's criminal record register. You order the extract yourself and it should not be older than six months, or one year for work with children, from the date of issuance.
