The work is conducted in a home-like environment where we work to provide children/youth with good living conditions based on each person's prerequisites. WORK TASKS The assignment as a support assistant involves working with and meeting children/youth in the residential environment. We work with clarifying pedagogy according to VISA (visual individually structured working method). You provide good care and supervision, which means you need to adapt your approach to each unique situation. Extensive care work also occurs. Among our users, outward-directed behavior can occur. To minimize threat and violence situations, we work based on a low-affective approach, which means you need to quickly be able to adapt to challenging behaviors and act proactively for prevention purposes. It is important that children/youth feel safe and secure. We perform all household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and cooking. We spend a lot of time in various outdoor environments, in the forest, playgrounds, and on our grounds, so it's important that you enjoy being active. The work includes planning and developing the work independently and together with the work team. You will work with the team to establish and follow up action plans, implementation plans, and routines. You are also expected to document in the organization's documentation system. We are seeking staff for both our short-term residential facility and residential care for children and youth. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are genuinely interested in other people, are solution-focused, and want to make a difference. You are attentive, good at communication, and can meet those around you in a warm way. Furthermore, you are confident in yourself, have great patience, and are creative. It is important to be able to work based on clear and agreed-upon routines, as well as good collaboration skills since we work both independently and as a team. We would like to see that you have experience within the autism spectrum area and the ability to act in a low-affective manner in situations that arise in daily work. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability. You need to have one of the following qualifications: care and nursing college, children's and leisure program, leisure pedagogue, preschool teacher, or behavioral science education, or other education that the employer considers appropriate for the assignment. You also need to have good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written. Driver's license B and the ability to drive a car are desirable; the ability to cycle and swim are requirements.
