Ref: 20261763 Job Responsibilities Your role is to support, engage, and guide individuals during their stay. Together with other staff, you are responsible for planning, implementing, documenting, and evaluating activities. The overarching goal is to keep the user's needs at the center and continuously adapt the content to be meaningful for them. You help create conditions for users' stays through activities and opportunities for social contact. As a support assistant, it is your responsibility to fulfill the goals outlined in the LSS plan regarding self-determination, participation, and integrity for each individual user. You provide daily and planned support services based on the user's individual needs and wishes in accordance with LSS regulations. Examples of tools for this include developing implementation plans, other documentation, and evidence-based methods. You should contribute to creating a meaningful and safe stay where the service is shaped according to the users' specific strengths, interests, and needs. Care work is part of the role. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a vocational qualification from a healthcare and care program, child and leisure program, or other equivalent education that the employer deems equivalent. Experience working with individuals with autism and/or visual support pedagogy for at least 1 year is required. Experience working within LSS for at least 1 year is required. A manual transmission driver's license (category B) is required, and you must be able to express yourself well in both speech and writing in Swedish. Swimming proficiency is an asset, as this is a regular activity at the residence. Experience with social documentation, MarteMeo, and previous work with children with disabilities is advantageous. Great weight is placed on personal suitability. In this role, you will support youth with disabilities who demonstrate high sensitivity and therefore require high attentiveness to their needs for well-being. You should have a calm, low-affect approach and understand challenging behavior. About the Workplace The children's residential homes serve children and youth who have been granted permanent residence under LSS §9:8. All users have an autism diagnosis, and challenging behavior occurs in daily work. Users have varying needs, interests, and wishes. Support and activities are guided by needs and provided individually with each user or together with other users in groups. In the Functional Support Division, over 3,000 employees work together to create and develop even better support and services for people with disabilities. Our services include LSS, social psychiatry, personal assistance, companion services, respite care, and healthcare. Seriously ill children cared for at home are also part of our mission.
