Within the Social Services Department of Järfälla Municipality, there is a socio-psychiatric operations area whose task is to provide support and assistance to people with various types of mental disabilities. Within the municipality there are a number of group homes and service apartments where our fantastic employees work to support and help residents create a meaningful and structured life with improved quality of life. We are now seeking support assistants for two different positions: Night shift contract employment valid until May next year. Permanent employment at 100% employment rate, with the possibility to discuss the scope based on the activities' needs and your preferences. For permanent employment, work includes day, evening, and weekend shifts (every other weekend). Please indicate in our screening questions which of these positions you are interested in. WORK TASKS As a support assistant, you work closely with individuals in their daily lives and provide individually adapted practical, social, and educational support based on each person's needs, conditions, and goals. You are an everyday support that contributes to security, structure, and independence in the individual's life. In this role, you support residents with daily activities and personal care, and assist with tasks such as cleaning, laundry, cooking, shopping, shopping errands, meals, and daily routines. You motivate and support the individual to participate in social and recreational activities and accompany them on activities, community appointments, and doctor's visits. An important part of the work is to create security, structure, and predictability in everyday life and to strengthen the individual's participation and independence. As a support person, you are responsible for establishing, following up, and revising implementation plans and working according to individual goals and services. You document according to applicable procedures, legislation, and the activity's guidelines and cooperate with service users, relatives, legal guardians, administrators, authorities, and colleagues. Work is conducted based on low-affective interactions and clear pedagogical approaches. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for this: • Trained nursing assistant, preferably with a focus on psychiatry or mental health nursing education. • Experience of working in psychiatry is desirable. • Knowledge of mental disabilities and psychiatric diagnoses. • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. • Ability to take responsibility, plan, implement, and evaluate work based on set goals. • Ability to work independently and take initiative within given frameworks and procedures. • Attentive, stress-resistant, and flexible. • Secure in yourself and in meeting with the target group. • Able to take action in unpredictable situations. • Ability to contribute to the individual's development and increased independence. Meritorious: • Training in MI (Motivational Interviewing). • Knowledge of substance abuse care. • Knowledge of threats and violence situations at work. • Class B driver's license.
