Your Assignment Kvarnvägens Group Home is a residential facility according to LSS (Act Concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Disabilities) within walking distance of Björknäs center. We offer a safe and homely environment with staff available 24/7, every day of the year. Six wonderful residents live here in their own apartments, with access to shared spaces and private outdoor areas on ground level. We work from a salutogenic approach where we see the whole individual and use health-promoting and social activities to achieve good living conditions. We offer individualized support to our residents, which means we adapt our methods based on who we are meeting. As a support assistant, you will work providing support and services together with residents based on their individual needs. This means you will help create conditions for security, personal development, and good living conditions. In this role, the focus is always on the residents; we adapt accordingly to their needs and respect their wishes and preferences. Daily documentation is an important part of the work to ensure good quality and safety in our assignment. The position is a night shift from approximately 8:45 PM to 9:00 AM. The position involves varied tasks including support and services with: Cleaning Personal care Hygiene tasks Medication management Your Experience To be considered for this position, you must have: Completed education in healthcare and care/childcare and leisure with courses in disability/special education Experience with autism and cognitive disability among adults Experience with low-affect approaches Previous experience working night shifts Computer and documentation skills Very good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written Good physical condition If you also have education and/or experience in IBIC, AAC, visual teaching methods, and self-injurious behaviors, this would be highly advantageous. Is This You? We are looking for someone with experience in the disability services field and a good understanding of what our LSS assignment entails. You are experienced and have the prerequisites to work independently with residents at night and feel secure with the responsibility that entails. Of course, you prioritize the residents' well-being and needs, have a calm and respectful approach to everyone you meet, and think service in all situations.
