Job Responsibilities We are looking for a support assistant to join us at BmSS Hakefjordsgatan! Here you will help create security during nighttime for individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, challenging behaviors, and self-harm behaviors. Hakefjordsgatan is home to 6 residents. You will be part of a team consisting of support assistants and support educators. We work from the perspective that each individual should be involved and have the opportunity to influence how their life looks and what support they need. Individuals should be given the opportunity to develop toward as independent a life as possible. Support includes all everyday situations in the home. The work may involve contact with relatives and other networks. You will continuously document and establish routines for the night. Special Service Housing offers support 24 hours a day. We base our approach on the residents' needs and must adapt working hours accordingly. Working hours are scheduled for nights. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a degree from the Healthcare and Care Program, Support Assistant Education, or Children and Leisure Program with a focus on social or educational work. The educational requirement is also met if you have a post-secondary specialization within the disability field that comprises at least 200 vocational credits, 120 higher education credits, or a combination thereof equivalent to at least four full-time semesters of study. Alternatively, 60 higher education credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for individuals with disabilities. The education should include relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. For this position, it is a requirement that you can express yourself fluently in speech and writing in Swedish. Therefore, it is required that you can demonstrate a passing grade in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1. If you do not meet the Swedish language requirements, you may be offered a language test through the test provider Educateit. It is a requirement that you have experience working with individuals with autism with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities and challenging behaviors. Furthermore, it is required that you have knowledge and experience of LAB (Low-Affective Interaction). AKK (Alternative and Augmentative Communication) is meriting. Experience working in special service housing and experience with clarifying pedagogy are meriting. You are friendly and helpful toward other people, even in stressful situations.
