Värmdö is the archipelago's meeting place, with a unique blend of nature's quiet beauty and a more urban lifestyle. Our mission is not one but many: schools, properties, social services, harbors, healthcare, libraries, care, and many more. We strive to ensure that all Värmdö residents can live a rich and free life. We want to be the ones who make possible the dream of a vibrant and secure environment for home, family, and business. To fully succeed in this, we need diverse competencies and must work together toward a common and trusting work culture, built on brave and responsible colleagues who understand the residents' needs and wishes. Our Operations My name is Marit and I am the unit manager at Värmdö Daily Activities. I am now seeking support assistants who want to help develop our daily activities—is that you? Värmdö Daily Activities offers a variety of different activities, ranging from outdoor groups to traditional daily activities. We shape the content based on participants' interests and wishes, and we are currently in a phase where we are investing in developing educational work, the right to communication, and digitalization. Your Assignment Your assignment will be to provide support and services based on the participants' individual needs, wishes, and conditions. Support participants in creating an active and meaningful daily occupation. Work with clarifying pedagogy and individualized strategies to strengthen participants' independence. We want you to help drive and develop the educational work together with your colleagues in close collaboration with the unit manager and coordinator. You will be a support person for a couple of participants, where you are responsible for ensuring that participants have activities and tasks that provide meaningful occupation. You shall be responsible for ensuring that participants have current implementation plans, that you maintain ongoing journal notes, and that you follow up on participants' set goals. You will be responsible for collaborating with the participant's contact network, so that we maintain good relationships with the important people in the participant's life. You will work in a collaboration-focused team where communication and security are central, and here we use collegial supervision in everyday work, all so that the participant receives the right treatment and a meaningful daily occupation. Since needs vary between participants, no two days are alike—which makes the work both developmental, stimulating, and meaningful. Your Experience We want you to have adequate education according to the National Board of Health and Welfare's recommendations to work as a support assistant, such as a healthcare program with a focus on LSS. You should have experience working in activity systems such as social documentation systems, quality management systems, and digital planning tools. You should have experience working with services such as daily activities, special housing, and/or short-term care according to LSS, and you should have experience with AAC, Autism, NPF, clarifying pedagogy, and low-arousal approaches. Since you will have extensive contact with the participant's contact network and have a responsibility to maintain documentation, you must have very good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. For one of the support assistant positions, we want you to have competence in gardening, painting, handling tools, and operating garden machinery. We want you to be service-oriented since we work with assignments for businesses and various municipal operations. It is meritorious if you have TAKK, adapted MI (motivational interviewing), and experience with digital tools. Your Personal Qualities Initiative-taking Service-oriented Pedagogical insight Quality-conscious We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Application Interviews are ongoing, so apply today. An extract from the criminal record register is a requirement for employment. Värmdö Municipality offers wellness contributions and holiday exchange for extra days off. We also actively work to create health-promoting workplaces with a good work environment and implement smoke-free working hours. We strive for gender balance and view diversity as a strength, and therefore welcome applicants with different backgrounds.
