About the job We are seeking a Support Assistant for Tanneskärsgatan 202, which is a residential facility with special services focused on autism. We are looking for someone drawn to the task of working with alternative communication and low-arousal approaches. As a support assistant, you will have overall responsibility for the pedagogical work within the operations. You will establish working methods and procedures and ensure that these are used and developed in an effective manner. Together with your work team, you will establish, implement, and follow up on routines, action plans, and activity descriptions. You will ensure that social documentation and implementation plans are created, further developed, and followed in accordance with laws and guidelines. You have a central role in the operation's quality development and systematic improvement work. The role includes collaboration with other units. Your primary placement is at Tanneskärsgatan 202, but we use our resources flexibly across both operations based on needs. In both operations, there are several support assistants working daily directly with service users. As a support assistant, you will serve as support and guidance for each individual staff member, the work team, and also provide support to the manager. You will supervise the work team based on the operation's needs and methods. The position also includes receiving delegation according to the Health and Medical Care Act. Beyond your work as a support assistant, you will also have regular work tasks in the operation. Working hours include day shifts, evening shifts, overnight on-call duties, and every other weekend. We use Time Care Planning for operation-adapted and flexible schedules. About you We are looking for someone with a degree from a Care and Nursing program, support assistant training, or a Children and Leisure program with a focus on social and pedagogical work. The education requirement is also met if you have a specialization within the disability field comprising at least 200 vocational credits, 120 higher education credits, or 60 higher education credits with two years of work experience with individuals with disabilities. The courses must be in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other training that the employer deems equivalent. To be able to maintain documentation, you need to have proficiency in Swedish in both speech and writing, which means a requirement for passing grades in Swedish 1, Swedish as a Second Language 1, or equivalent. If you do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1, you may be offered to take a language test through the test provider Educateit. You need to have experience working with individuals with autism as well as experience with low-arousal approaches and alternative and augmentative communication. Experience working as a support assistant and knowledge of the following methods is a requirement: Clarifying Pedagogy, Sign Supports, ESL (A Self-Directed Life), IBIC (Individual Needs in Focus), MI (Motivational Interviewing), and mental health. Good computer skills, knowledge of social documentation, and a class B driver's license are merits. We are looking for someone who has the ability to share information and ideas, both verbally and in writing. You express the core of an argument in a clear and effective manner. You adapt your communication to the recipient, audience, and situation. As a person, you are independent and act on your own initiative based on what the situation requires without needing support from others. You have the ability to make independent decisions within the scope of your role. You work effectively under stress and maintain composure in difficult situations. We welcome your application!
