Description:
Do you want to be part of creating an LSS residential facility where self-determination, quality, and commitment make a difference – every day? At Smörkärnegatans group housing, we believe that a good life begins when each person is seen, listened to, and given the opportunity to influence their own daily life. That's why we work person-centered, with the resident's goals, wishes, and circumstances as our starting point. Now we're looking for a support assistant who wants to help develop an operation where quality, collaboration, and a professional approach permeate the daily work. Smörkärnegatans group housing is a residential facility with special services according to LSS for adult women and men with mental and/or physical functional variations. The facility consists of 7 apartments on one floor with common areas in the center. The staff team consists of 1 support educator and 10 support assistants, of which 2 work nights. Your placement is at Smörkärnegatan floor 2, but when needed you also work at the nearby facility on floor 1, which serves the same target group. Your Mission For us, the relationship with the resident is at the core of the task. As a support assistant, you play an important role in creating security, participation, and quality of life for the people living with us. Your task is to provide professional and individualized support that strengthens the resident's independence, participation, and ability to live a good life based on their own circumstances, wishes, and goals. You work based on implementation plans and create together with the resident a daily life characterized by influence, meaning, and structure. You support with daily activities, personal care, communication, social relationships, and leisure – always with respect for the individual's integrity and self-determination. You document in Treserva and actively contribute to ensuring that services are planned, implemented, and followed up with good quality. The facility offers support 24/7. Working hours are scheduled for daytime and evening, with duty every other weekend based on operational needs. We use TimeCare Planning for operationally adapted and flexible schedules. Qualifications We're looking for you with a degree from the Care and Health Program, support assistant training, nursing assistant education, or the Children and Recreation Program with a focus on social or educational work. Alternatively, 60 higher education credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for people with disabilities. The education should include relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education that the employer considers equivalent. Communication is an important part of the work, which requires that you have passed Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1. If you don't meet this requirement, you may be offered to take a language test. You have experience supporting people with both mental functional variations (such as psychotic disorders and schizophrenia) and physical functional variations. It is meritorious if you have knowledge of LAB (low-arousal approach), ESL (an independent life), and MI (motivational interviewing). We're looking for you to build trusting relationships and treat people with respect and responsiveness. You work person-centered and see the individual's potential. You also take responsibility for your task and work independently within set boundaries, recognize the value of structure, documentation, and shared working methods. As a person, you take initiative and contribute to a meaningful daily life for residents. You contribute to a positive work environment and want to develop both yourself and the operation.
