We provide services to adults with disabilities. Our mission is to offer support and services based on the individual's needs and wishes, and we actively work to promote equality and full participation in society for our users. We are expanding the resource team in Unit 4 and are now looking for another colleague for our group! As a support assistant in the resource team, you will work in the unit's two group homes - Tyresta and Värtan. You will work according to a base schedule where you will contribute both to providing that extra special touch for our residents and cover for absent colleagues when needed. To thrive in the Resource Team, you need to appreciate variety in your work as it requires you to quickly shift between different tasks during the workday in planning. Since Resource Team members will also cover support assistants during, for example, vacation periods, you need to be comfortable with schedules that may differ between periods. Resource Team members have every other weekend, day, and evening shifts in their base schedule but are expected to work on-call duty during, for example, vacation periods when needed. Read more about our benefits https://jobba.stockholm/formaner/ Your role The work involves supporting, motivating, and clarifying daily life for residents, as well as providing care and service based on the residents' individual needs. The work also involves collaboration with the resident's network. In your role, you are expected to be part of the resident's everyday life and provide support and active guidance based on their needs. This may include participating in the individual's leisure activities such as swimming together at a swimming pool, visiting church/mosque, attending a concert, accompanying them to a zoo or exercising at a gym. You are also expected to use digital tools in your work such as developing visual supports, using work email, managing phone contacts, and reading and writing social documentation. Your competence and experience To be qualified for the position of support assistant in the Resource Team, you must fulfill the following competency requirements: Educational background such as child and youth work, care and health program, or other care education containing courses required for the occupational title of support assistant. At least 2 years of work experience from group homes for LSS target group 1. Have worked with care services. Have worked with people with intellectual disabilities and people on the autism spectrum. Express yourself fluently in Swedish orally and in writing. Have good experience with digital tools, aids, and various operational systems on computers. You are able to swim and feel confident in water. You can ride a bicycle as you will need to do so several times during each work shift. You have good physical fitness and enjoy movement, culture, and leisure activities. You have worked with visual supports. We are looking for someone who is flexible, self-driven, and has a good ability to handle changing circumstances. You are relationship-building, thorough, and unpretentious in your approach and invite collaboration. Before a possible employment, you need to be able to provide a current extract from the criminal records register.
