Job Responsibilities We are now seeking two support assistants for awake night shifts. One position is a permanent employment and the other is a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension. We are looking for you to help create safety and good conditions for development for the children and young people who live at Billdals Björkväg! Billdals Björkväg is an LSS residence with special support and services for children and young people. Four children with autism and intellectual disabilities aged 14-21 years live here. Your main task as a support assistant on the awake night shift will be to provide individual educational support that contributes to predictability and safety in accordance with LSS. You provide direct support to the young person during times of anxiety and wakefulness, and during morning routines before departure to school. Under the guidance of the unit manager and support educators, and together with colleagues and other people in the child's network, you work to develop methods, routines, and structures for working with the residents to give each individual the best conditions for participation. We actively work with individual adaptations and use methods such as AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication), low-arousal approach, and clarifying pedagogy. You work awake nights according to schedule. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has support assistant training, a Children and Recreation Program with a focus on social work or educational work, or a Care and Health Program with specialization in intellectual disability. Alternatively, other education that the employer considers equivalent. You work in our activity system Treserva, and therefore need basic IT skills and the ability to express yourself well in Swedish both orally and in writing. You also need to have prior experience working with clarifying pedagogy, LAB (low-arousal approach), and various forms of AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication). If you have experience working with people with autism and ID (intellectual disabilities), we consider that a merit.
