The Social Services Department is responsible for providing support, care and assistance to people at different stages of life. We work based on the individual's needs and offer services built on several laws, including the Social Services Act (SoL), the Act on Support and Services for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS) and the Health and Medical Services Act.
This can involve providing older people with a safe and meaningful daily life, supporting people with disabilities or being there for children, young people and adults in vulnerable life situations.

JOB DUTIES
Would you like to work close to people and make a difference in their daily lives? As a support assistant, you'll help create security, participation and development for people with disabilities or mental health challenges. We're looking for someone who enjoys a varied day, where communication, structure and commitment are central.
As a support assistant, you work to provide educational, social and practical support to people with disabilities in their daily lives. The goal is to strengthen the individual's independence, quality of life and participation in society.
The role includes, among other things:
- Supporting the individual in daily life according to the implementation plan
- Motivating and creating structure around activities, health and social interaction
- Collaborating with family members, colleagues and other partners
- Documenting interventions in digital systems according to current procedures
- Working from a low-arousal approach and with the individual's needs in focus
You may work within both disability support (according to LSS) and social psychiatry (according to SoL), in facilities such as group homes, service apartments or supported housing. In all activities, the aim is to promote independence, health and participation based on the individual's needs. Work is scheduled during daytime, evenings and weekends, depending on the facility's needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
You have a genuine interest in working with people and a strong ability to build trust and develop relationships. You are secure, responsive and have the ability to adapt your approach to different individuals' needs and circumstances.
We also see that you have:
- Upper secondary education in care and health or children and leisure, or other education that the employer considers equivalent, such as a 2-year folk high school education as a support assistant at upper secondary level.
- Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both spoken and written
A driver's license (Category B) may be required depending on the activity
