Your New Workplace As a support assistant at Luftvärnsvägen group home, you play an important role in creating a safe, developmental, and meaningful life for the care recipients. Collaboration with other professionals is part of your role to ensure that care recipients' needs are met in a pedagogical and structured way, with focus on individual participation and independence. Based on laws, goals, and guidelines, you contribute to keeping the user at the center with influence over and participation in their services. You will work according to LSS (the Act Concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) and other relevant legislation, as well as the municipality's values, political goals, and other guidelines. Services should be based on the individual's mental, physical, and social needs, with the aim of reducing the consequences of functional impairment as much as possible. For this position, we particularly welcome applications from women. How You Contribute as a Support Assistant Your role includes: Providing support, care, and assistance to individuals and motivating them toward meaningful activities in ways that strengthen their resources and enable as independent a life as possible. Working with social documentation, follow-ups, and incident reporting. Structuring and planning work according to the employer's established directives. Performing health and care tasks delegated by nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. Following work methods, shared approaches, routines, and guidelines. Having areas of responsibility and assignments both within and outside the regular workplace. Actively participating in meetings and planning days. Contributing to developing quality services by suggesting ideas for changes and improvements, and participating in skills development. Assisting in orientation of new staff and mentoring students according to current procedures. Cooperating with the user's network and other partners. The position includes work on evenings, weekends, and nights (on-call). Your Competence and Experience We're looking for someone with training as a support assistant (nurse assistant specialized in disability services) or other training deemed equivalent. Requirements for the position: Experience working with low-arousal approaches Good proficiency in Swedish and English Meritorious: Experience working with structured teaching methods Previous experience in similar activities Knowledge and experience working with challenging behavior We place great emphasis on personal suitability!
