Support Assistant at Lillvägens Group Homes in Nacka Municipality

Your Assignment Lillvägens group homes are two residences according to the Act on Support and Services (LSS) located centrally in Älta. We are seeking support assistants for both facilities, which were previously privately operated and are now being taken over by Nacka Municipality. The facilities consist of two houses located close to each other with seven residents in each home. Parking is available at the facilities. The group homes are home to adults of varying ages with intellectual disabilities, some residents have significant care needs, and we therefore see that you have experience with similar work previously. Both facilities share an assistant operations manager and a coordinator. As a support assistant, you will work providing support and services to residents based on their individual needs. This means you will help create conditions for security, personal development, and good living conditions. The focus in this assignment is always on the residents; we therefore adapt based on their needs and respect their wishes and preferences. Daily documentation is an important part of the work to ensure good quality and safety in our assignment. Work is scheduled for day, evening, weekends, and overnight on-call shifts. The position involves varied tasks including support and services with: Leisure activities Cleaning Personal care Hygiene tasks Medication management Your Experience To be considered for this position, you must have: Completed education in care and services/children and leisure with courses in disability support/special education Experience with autism and cognitive disabilities among adults Experience with low-affective communication approaches Computer and documentation skills Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written Good physical capacity If you also have training and/or experience in IBIC, AAC, clarifying pedagogy, and self-injury behaviors, this is strongly meriting. You are accustomed to and have the ability to work independently with residents and are comfortable with the responsibility that entails. You also have strong collaboration skills and are a team player. You naturally put the resident's well-being and needs first, have a calm and respectful approach toward everyone you meet, and practice service in all situations.
