Your Assignment Kvarnvägens Group Home is a residential facility according to LSS (Act Concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Disabilities) within walking distance to Björknäs center. We offer a safe and homely environment with staff available 24/7, every day of the year. Six clients live in their own apartments with access to common areas and private outdoor spaces at ground level. We work from a salutogenic approach where we see the whole individual and use health-promoting and social activities to achieve good living conditions. We provide individualized support to our clients, which means we adapt our methods based on the person we meet. As a support assistant, you will work providing support and services together with clients based on their individual needs. This means you will help create the conditions for security, personal development, and good living conditions. In this assignment, the focus is always on the clients; we therefore adapt ourselves to their needs and respect their will and wishes. Daily documentation is an important part of the work to ensure good quality and safety in our assignment. Work is scheduled day shifts, evenings, and weekends. The position involves varied tasks including support and services with: Leisure activities Cleaning Personal care Hygiene tasks Medication management Your Experience To be suitable for this position, you must have: Completed education in healthcare and social services/children and leisure with courses in disability/special education Experience with autism and cognitive disabilities in adults Experience with low-arousal approaches Computer and documentation skills Very good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written Good physical ability Having additional education and/or experience in IBIC, AAC, visual teaching strategies, and self-injurious behaviors is strongly meritorious. You are accustomed to and have the ability to work independently with clients and are comfortable with the responsibility that comes with it. Furthermore, you have strong collaboration skills and are a team player. You naturally prioritize client wellbeing and needs first, have a calm and respectful approach to everyone you meet, and think service in all situations.
