Kandidatvägen is a short-term residential facility under the LSS (Swedish Act Concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) located at Ålidhem, surrounded by forests, playgrounds, and a library nearby. The purpose of the service is to offer youth and young adults with physical and mental disabilities an environmental change, community, and the opportunity to develop their independence while providing relief to family members. Here you will work with individualized support where every interaction matters, and where you, together with engaged colleagues, contribute to creating a meaningful and safe everyday life for our youth. Do you want to be part of us?
Your Work Tasks
At Kandidatvägen, you work to strengthen the youth's ability to live as independently as possible. Your tasks vary and can include both social and physical support. You plan and implement meaningful activities and help create a safe and stimulating environment. Your duties also include assistance with personal hygiene, household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and dishwashing, as well as daily administrative tasks and documentation.
The work involves being active throughout the day, and transfers may occur. You also need to be prepared to handle situations where disruptive behavior, threats, or violence may occur.
You collaborate with colleagues and maintain professional conduct toward service users, family members, and other stakeholders. Collaboration and joint planning with other support and care services take place.
Work is scheduled for days, evenings, weekends, and includes on-call combinations.
Who Are You?
We are looking for someone who is calm, confident, and committed, with the youth at the center of focus. You have good collaboration skills and maintain professional conduct. You are stress-resilient and handle challenging situations calmly, even with disruptive behaviors. Furthermore, you are flexible and solution-focused, with the ability to adapt and create a meaningful everyday life for the youth. Since several of our youth use sign language and assistive devices in their communication, we would like you to have experience working with this. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
