Do you enjoy varied work where you function as a support both at home and during various activities? We are seeking a support assistant for the Jungfruvägen 127 group home. We are looking for someone with relevant education, strong knowledge, and experience working in LSS activities (LSS - Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities). We work based on a low-arousal approach characterized by openness, unpretentiousness, and reflection. Responsibilities Working as a support assistant gives you the opportunity to make a difference in other people's lives. The duties involve motivating, supporting, and helping the individual in all daily situations, both at and outside the home. This means facilitating the individual's daily life and providing support in social contexts. We work based on clarifying pedagogy by maintaining structure according to the implementation plan developed in collaboration with the individual. Our approach is characterized by LSS's core values: participation, self-determination and independence, with the right to live a life as similar to others as possible. We always strive to make our users as independent as possible based on their circumstances. In our work, we always start from the individual themselves and what wishes they have for the day, the week, or generally in life, which then forms the basis for our shared approach to that specific individual. In the role of support assistant, you will have varied work that includes close collaboration with municipal healthcare staff, psychiatry, relatives, and representatives. You will have the opportunity to develop our activities based on our active work with implementation plans where our efforts are directed toward the individual through goals that are continuously followed up in collaboration with other professionals. Qualifications For this role, the following are required: Completion of a care program with a focus on disability, treatment assistant education, or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent Documented experience working with individuals with intellectual variations within LSS/psychiatry/SoL Good ability to work with documentation, implementation plans, and experience using computers as a work tool Knowledge and/or experience working with challenging behavior Strong Swedish language skills, both spoken and written Experience using various computer systems Experience with and training in low-arousal approaches Personal Qualities As a person, we would like to see that you are calm, attentive, and clear in your communication. You are independent, take personal responsibility for your work, and can meet the individual's needs through a balance between structure and flexibility. You have the ability to adapt your work approach to the situation and enjoy when many different things happen at once. You have good collaboration skills, are development-oriented, and creative in finding new ways to increase user participation, independence, and communication. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. Meritorious Qualifications Education or in-depth experience with varying diagnoses and disabilities within LSS/SoL and/or psychiatry Knowledge of clarifying pedagogy Knowledge of or experience with motivational interviewing (MI) Training and/or experience working with self-injurious behavior Terms of Employment Permanent employment, with start date by agreement. The work involves day and evening shifts, weekend work, and overnight shifts. Base schedule divided into six-week periods; the organization applies full-time for all.
