About the Workplace At Jakobsberg group home, six active young adults with disabilities live and participate in many different activities in the community. Among the staff, there is great commitment and willingness to support the residents so they experience their lives as meaningful, comprehensible, and manageable. For us, the individual's self-determination and participation are the starting point for how daily work is structured. In the work team, you will meet positive, engaged colleagues with a strong focus on the residents. It is varied work where you have influence over how you and your colleagues organize the work tasks, and where initiative and ideas are encouraged. We are now seeking a colleague to complete our team. Job Responsibilities Your tasks are to support the residents in their daily lives based on each individual's wishes, conditions, and needs, and to support and help the individual toward a meaningful daily life and leisure time. We have a strong focus on the individual's self-determination and support is designed together with the resident and is based on each individual's unique abilities. You will be there as methodological, pedagogical, and practical support. The work includes serving as a contact person for one or more residents. As a contact person, you are responsible for developing the implementation plan together with the resident, documenting, and following up on interventions. Creating and maintaining good relationships with family members, guardians, day activities, and other networks is an important part of daily work. An important part of the work is also to contribute to developing the activities together with the residents, colleagues, and management. Qualifications We are seeking someone who is a trained nursing assistant, has completed a youth and leisure program, or has equivalent upper secondary education. Alternatively, you have completed a KY/YH education focused on social treatment work, higher education such as social worker, behavioral scientist, pedagogical education, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. To be suitable for this position, you also need to have at least one year of experience working within LSS with people with disabilities. We want you to have good knowledge of LSS legislation basics and social documentation. You have good collaboration skills and a solution-focused approach. You have respectful conduct and a good ability to engage and motivate others. You express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish. You have good computer skills as we use several different operational systems in daily work. Competence in various methods/approaches such as AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), Low Arousal Approach, and MI (Motivational Interviewing) are merits. A requirement is that you have a driver's license and can cycle. Great weight is placed on personal suitability. Employment Terms Permanent, full-time. Start date by agreement. Working hours vary between day/evening/sleeping on-call shifts and every other weekend. Individual salary setting applies. Trial employment may apply.
