In summer 2024, Strängnäs municipality opened a new LSS residential facility in the scenic Stallarholmen. The facility is located on the outskirts of the community with proximity to forests and green areas. There are five apartments as well as common spaces for social gatherings and activities. JOB DUTIES Work as a support assistant is based on individual implementation plans with the aim of providing each resident with the opportunity for a meaningful life, increased independence, and participation in their daily life. The assignment includes assessing skills and support needs to create appropriate accommodations and provide individualized support. You will follow residents in their daily lives and provide support in everything related to home and everyday activities, such as: • cooking and household chores • personal care • leisure activities and physical activity • social relationships and contact with loved ones A pedagogical and low-affective approach is a central part of the work. We are therefore looking for someone with a genuine interest in the target group and who works with respect, clarity, and commitment in meeting each individual. Bathing and swimming are recurring activities in the facility where staff participate together with residents. Therefore, it is a requirement that you can swim and feel comfortable in water. Working hours are scheduled with shifts during day, evening, and every other weekend. The position also includes requirements to receive delegated work tasks according to HSL within agreed time. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has: • education as a nursing assistant with a focus on disabilities, childcare worker, or other equivalent education • previous experience working in LSS activities • experience with low-affective approaches • experience with social documentation • good computer skills • good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written • swimming ability and capacity to participate in bathing and swimming activities together with residents • B-category driver's license You also have the ability to work pedagogically, structurally, and safely with a genuine interest in supporting people toward improved quality of life. Great importance is placed on personal suitability. You are attentive and have the ability to adapt your approach, support, and service based on the resident's individual needs.
