Varpan Daily Activity Program serves individuals with autism-like conditions who need a smaller setting with the opportunity for a calm, safe, and low-stimulation environment. Here, an experienced and dedicated team works with a focus on responsibility, collaboration, and great attention to each participant's individual needs. We are now seeking two stable, pedagogical, and committed support assistants for temporary positions. One of our valued colleagues is going on parental leave, and another is moving on to a collaborative activity. About the Positions Temporary Position 1: Start date as soon as possible by agreement, until August 31, 2028. Temporary Position 2: Start date as soon as possible by agreement until August 31, 2027, with possibility of extension. Job Responsibilities As a support assistant at Varpan Daily Activity Program, you will guide and support participants in their daily activities. The work is based on clear structure and individually adapted schedules that are built on each participant's abilities, interests, and needs. You will often work independently with a participant in their room. This means you need to be comfortable handling challenging and stressful situations on your own, have insight into when you need support, and be able to work from a low-intensity approach. Colleagues are readily available when needed, and we value joint reflection. The role includes: Supporting and guiding participants according to their individual needs. Creating a safe, meaningful, and enriching day for each participant. Working according to implementation plans and documenting, planning, and following up on interventions. Promoting participation, independence, and development. Participating in activities such as walks and other physical activities. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: Training as a nursing assistant or other education and/or experience that the employer deems equivalent. At least two years of experience working with individuals with autism or autism-like conditions. At least one year of experience working with a low-intensity approach. Experience working within LSS (Swedish disability services). The ability to handle stressful situations in a safe and professional manner.
