As our operations grow, so does our need for staff support. We are therefore looking for a new colleague who wants to drive and develop our activities together with us.
Paper & Print is a daily activity program under the LSS (Act Concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) for people who want to express themselves primarily through text, papercraft, reuse, concrete crafts, and photo art. With us, creative creation is combined with meaningful activities and individualized support.
In our operations, we work with reusing thrift store finds and old wallpaper, and we perform vinyl and screen printing on clothing. We carry out custom orders for printing such as flyers, menus, business cards, and brochures for businesses and individuals. We produce concrete crafts, photo art, and produce our own magazine, Månadsbladet.
Job Responsibilities
As a support assistant, you have a coaching role. You are responsible for clarifying, structuring, and adapting work tasks so that they become understandable, manageable, and meaningful based on each individual's abilities and needs. You work with a professional and respectful approach and base your work on the equal value of all people. You create a safe and positive atmosphere and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
The role includes, among other things:
- Provide pedagogical support and guidance in daily work.
- Work based on the individual's implementation plan according to IBIC.
- Collaborate with service users, colleagues, family members, guardians/administrators, and other external contacts.
- Actively contribute to the development of our activities.
- Document and follow up on services according to current guidelines in Treserva.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a degree from the Care and Health Program, support assistant training, or the Children and Leisure Program with a focus on social or pedagogical work. The educational requirement is also met if you have a post-secondary specialization within the disability field comprising at least 200 vocational upper secondary school credits, 120 higher education credits, or a combination thereof equivalent to at least four full-time semesters of study. Alternatively, 60 higher education credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for people with disabilities. The education should include relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
Alternatively:
We are looking for someone with education or extensive experience in crafts, graphics, media/photography, or reuse work, and who can describe in detail how you have worked with this beyond hobby level and how you have worked with this in relation to our target group, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
You must have passed Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1.
You should have a creative mind with the ability to see opportunities and contribute ideas that develop and strengthen our activities, as well as the ability to lead both groups and individual persons.
You have good computer skills and are quick to learn new programs, such as InDesign and Photoshop.
Experience working with people with various functional variations.
Meritorious
It is meritorious if you have knowledge of psychiatry, substance abuse, and AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication).
