Support Assistant for Daily Activities at Klippan

The position is located within the Social Services Department, which is one of eight departments in Linköping Municipality. The Social Services Department is responsible for authority functions, procurement of services, and in-house operations within the areas of individual and family care, LSS (disability services), and social psychiatry. Your tasks As a support assistant at Daglig verksamhet Klippan, you work together with the participants to create a meaningful and enriching daily life. You provide support based on each person's individual needs and circumstances, working toward participation, independence, and development. The activities are varied, with both indoor and outdoor activities. The work involves switching between different activities and adapting your support to the group's needs. We often split into smaller groups where we work with cooking, baking, music, singing, and crafts. We also take walks, go on outings, and drive to shop or participate in other activities. Documentation and record-keeping are part of the work. You also need to be able to collaborate closely with colleagues and feel confident working independently. Your workplace Klippan is a daily activity service within the LSS department with 12 participants and four staff members. We are located in Lambohov and work to create a safe and stimulating environment where participants have the opportunity to be involved based on their own circumstances. Meal breaks are integrated into the workday, meaning you do not have a regular break but need to remain at the facility and provide support to the participants during meals as well. Working hours are daytime 07:30-15:30, and the facility is covered by a flexible working hours agreement. What we're looking for We are seeking someone who has a upper secondary education from a healthcare and care program, youth and leisure program, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. You need to have experience working with people with intellectual disabilities (ID) and neurodevelopmental disabilities (NDD). It is a merit if you have previously worked with low-affect communication, alternatively augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), sign support, or pedagogical methods. It is also a merit if you have experience with IBIC (Individual-Centered Needs). If you are interested in music and can play an instrument, that is a significant advantage. A Class B driver's license is a requirement because outings and other activities by car are part of the work. To thrive in the role, you need to be collaborative and able to take responsibility for your tasks independently. You are empathetic and have the ability to meet people based on their individual needs. You are also clear in your communication and can adapt your communication style to the situation and person.
