The unit currently has 18 employees distributed across 5 activities throughout Strängnäs Municipality. What is common for the entire unit is a strong commitment and a major focus on service users and their needs. Based on this, we work in a structured manner to develop the activities and make adjustments according to each individual's circumstances. We are now seeking a support assistant for Källan's daily services, located centrally in Strängnäs. It is a stable activity where you work together with seven colleagues. Källan is one of our oldest activities and we primarily work with habilitative day services and creating participation in society. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a support assistant, you are, together with your colleagues, part of developing our new working methods and direction. You will work closely with service users and your colleagues to find the methods and working approaches that best suit the service users. In your work, you base your actions on the service user's implementation plan and you are involved in and responsible for establishing and following up on this plan. This is to ensure the service user receives a safe and stimulating environment with meaningful activities. Your work also includes certain care tasks as well as handling delegated health and medical care duties. In your daily work, you need to focus on low-affective communication, be solution-oriented, have patience, and enjoy spending time outdoors regardless of weather and season. You need to be able to handle physically demanding work including patient transfers and operating wheelchairs both outdoors and indoors. You need to be comfortable and skilled in clarifying pedagogy and using sign support to perform the work in the best way. You need to be comfortable adapting your working methods so you and your colleagues work consistently to reduce the risk of challenging behaviors. Collaborating with the individual, representatives, family members, residential staff, and other people in the person's network is something you see as a matter of course to succeed in your upcoming assignment. The role also includes close collaboration with the unit manager and other colleagues within the daily services and employment area. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has: • the professional title Nursing Assistant, or completed a high school program in Children and Leisure with a focus on social work or pedagogical work, or other post-secondary education that the employer deems equivalent. • at least one year of experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities and autism. • experience working with people whose behavior challenges us. • at least one year of experience working with clarifying pedagogy and AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication). • good computer skills. • good ability to communicate well in both spoken and written Swedish. • a Class B driving license and good driving experience. • physical capabilities to handle physically demanding work including patient transfers and operating wheelchairs both outdoors and indoors regardless of weather.
