The position is placed within the Social Services Administration, which is one of eight administrations in Linköping Municipality. The Social Services Administration is responsible for exercising authority, procuring services, and operating services within the areas of individual and family care, LSS (services and support for people with disabilities), and social psychiatry. Your Tasks In your role as a support assistant, you work with people with physical, mental, and/or intellectual disabilities. You work together with the individual based on their needs, and together you create a meaningful daily life where independence and participation are the guiding principles. Your tasks include providing support in daily life as well as leisure activities, personal care, health, and functional ability. You provide educational support and work purposefully to ensure that the individual uses and develops their abilities as independently as possible. Your work also includes being the link to society, where you may need to help with communication with authorities, healthcare, and other services. In addition to these tasks, you also support with cleaning, laundry, shopping, and handling medications. We work with IBIC (individual needs in focus), which means you have the individual's needs in focus. You may serve as a contact person and are responsible for structuring and planning the individual's day together with them, and for jointly shaping the services provided. The scope and content of the services are always based on the individual's needs and well-being, and are established through an implementation plan. You are responsible for updating and revising the implementation plan and keeping it current. You document daily and record in the Treserva system. As a contact person, you maintain close contact with relatives and other external parties. You work both independently and as part of a team. Your Workplace Are you our new colleague? We are now looking for a new colleague who wants to become part of our work group. The facility coordinates with other units, which means that work at multiple workplaces may be relevant. For this position, the minimum employment level is 90%, but due to the right to full-time employment that applies in Linköping Municipality, you have the option to choose a higher employment level up to full-time. Your working hours will be scheduled for day, evening, and weekend shifts, as well as on-call duty. The LSS Department within the Social Services Administration provides services on behalf of the Care Board in accordance with the Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities. The LSS Department is responsible for group and service housing, short-term respite care, culture and leisure activities, and family care support. We also have nurses dedicated to the municipality's LSS residences. Blåbärsvägen 82 is a residence for people with intellectual disabilities and autism with moderate care needs. The group home is designed for a target group aged 35-65 years. Residents need help with accompaniment, personal care, social contacts, and interaction, structure, and routines. Challenging behavior may occur. Residents live in their own apartment with access to a shared kitchen, living room, and patio. Residents typically attend daily activities on a part-time or full-time basis. Activities are based on the residents' wishes, which may include shared meals, walks, exercise, and outings. We have the opportunity to do activities with the help of the facility's vehicle, which is an enjoyable part of daily life. The facility is beautifully located in Sturefors, approximately 11 km outside Linköping. There are good bus connections and it is also easy to cycle on the nice cycling path that takes you through beautiful nature to Sturefors. About You We are looking for someone who has completed a care and service program, a children's and recreation program, or other pedagogical education deemed equivalent, and has experience in care, support, and services. For this position, you need previous experience working with people with challenging behavior. Previous experience working with people with intellectual disabilities and autism is considered meritorious. We also consider it advantageous if you have previous experience working with low-arousal approaches. Some residents have limitations in verbal communication, so knowledge of alternative and augmentative communication is also desirable. The work involves extensive customer contact and documentation, which means it is a requirement that you can communicate verbally and in writing in Swedish. You have the ability to use digital tools in your work, and it is meritorious if you have experience documenting in journal systems, implementation plans, and have worked according to IBIC. A Class B driver's license is required as we use a vehicle in our work. To succeed in this role, we see that you are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks and drive your work forward.
