We are now looking for reinforcement to our wonderful work team! With us, you work together with your colleagues to support children and young people within the autism spectrum with intellectual disabilities. Support is tailored to the young people's needs, wishes, and implementation plans. You are an important person for the young people and serve as a support to provide them with a safe, functioning, and meaningful daily life. Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, weekends, and on-call night shifts, so it is a requirement that you can work irregular hours. A full-time position (100%) that begins with a 6-month probationary period. Collective agreement applies. About the Workplace Marielund LSS Tyringe is a residential facility with four places that receives children and young people aged 12-17 years within the autism spectrum with intellectual disabilities who fall under person group 1 according to Section 1 of the LSS. The facility has one-to-one staffing, which means that young people have access to their own staff. Job Responsibilities Your task is to support, activate, and guide children and young people in their daily lives. You are responsible, together with your colleagues, for planning, implementation, and documentation of support. As a support assistant, it is your task to fulfill the goals set in the implementation plan regarding self-determination, participation, and integrity for the individual young person. You perform daily routines and planned support measures based on the young person's individual needs and wishes in accordance with LSS. You should contribute to creating a meaningful and safe daily life where activities are shaped according to the young person's strengths, interests, and needs. Care work occurs. A large part of the work also involves ensuring that the young people's living environment is clean and tidy; tasks such as laundry, cleaning, cooking, and gardening occur. You need to have at least one year of experience with LSS and have worked with people with autism and/or clarifying pedagogy. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. In your position, you will support young people with disabilities who show high sensitivity and therefore place high demands on your attentiveness to their needs to feel well. You should therefore have a low-affect approach and understand challenging behavior. The work offers great freedom of action and requires that you are independent and comfortable taking your own initiatives. You participate in finding solutions together with colleagues, willingly contribute ideas, and work for good cooperation and well-being in the work team. Qualifications Support Assistant: you need to have a professional qualification from the care and support program, children's and leisure program, or other equivalent education that the employer deems equivalent. Education and/or experience in clarifying pedagogy. Education and/or experience in low-affect approaches. Experience in engaging with people displaying challenging behavior. Good knowledge within LSS. Experience in social documentation. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. B driver's license is required.
