Description Bautasten is a residential facility where residents have decisions under both SoL (Social Services Act) and LSS (Act on Support and Services for Persons with Disabilities). The residents have varying support needs, and the goal of the activity is to provide individually adapted support based on each person's needs and decisions according to applicable legislation. Work Tasks In your work, the focus will be on creating security, participation, and a meaningful daily life for each resident. The residents are communicative but may need time to build trust with new people and new staff. Therefore, it is important that you are attentive, confident, and work with a calm and professional demeanor. The work is based on a motivating and low-affect approach where the right to self-determination is an important foundation. The work tasks include both practical assistance, support, and motivation for increased independence. The practical work consists of, among other things, support with medication management, cleaning, laundry, cooking, shopping, and contacts with authorities, health care, and other partners. The support needs of the residents vary. Some primarily need regular support conversations, while others need support and assistance in all daily activities. You work with a motivating approach and create conditions for structure, participation, and self-determination based on each person's individual abilities. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has a degree from the Healthcare and Care Program, Support Assistant education, or Children and Leisure Program with a focus on social or pedagogical work. The education requirement is also met if you have post-secondary specialization in the disability field covering at least 200 yh-points, 120 university credits, or a combination equivalent to at least four terms of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 university credits and at least two years of experience working with support and services for persons with disabilities. The education should have relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education that the employer deems equivalent. Very good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing is a requirement; you need to have passed Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1. If you do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1, you may be offered to take a language test through the test administrator Educateit. It is a requirement for the position that you have experience with documentation and experience within psychiatry. It is meritorious if you have experience working in psychiatry. You are also meritorious if you have experience with: - Motivational Interviewing (MI) - An Independent Life (ESL) - Low-Affect Behavior Management (LAB) - Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) - Work with substance abuse You treat people with respect and consideration and have an open, professional, and user-oriented approach.
