Welcome to us
The position is located at one of our group living facilities in Hägersten, which is an LSS activity for adult persons with congenital deafblindness. Our mission is to provide support and services based on each individual's needs and wishes, and we actively work to promote equality and full participation in community life for the users. The work is characterized by a pedagogical approach, a structured working method, and a calm and respectful manner toward everyone.
Here support assistants, work leaders, method supervisors, and a unit manager work together. Our work is based on LSS and Stockholm city's quality program, where the needs and perspectives of Stockholm's residents are central.

Your role
As a support assistant with us you will
provide support to users based on their needs and in accordance with established implementation plans
conduct social documentation
develop and implement working methods that both create participation and support users' communication
develop and regularly review routines, implementation plans, and other important documents for the users
when needed, introduce new employees and supervise interns.
Your skills and experience
We are looking for someone who has:
a degree in for example childhood and leisure, healthcare and nursing, nursing assistant, or other education that we consider equivalent
experience working with people with disabilities in a similar role
experience working with users who communicate with sign language and spoken language
experience documenting in digital systems
good Swedish language skills both spoken and written.
It is meritorious if you have experience with:
a similar role within Stockholm city that demonstrates your understanding of our values and pedagogical framework
work within social support or rehabilitation
work with users who have vision and/or hearing impairments.
To succeed in this role you communicate clearly and adapt to your audience through methods such as calm interaction, clear pedagogy, or AAC. You can switch between working independently and collaborating with your colleagues. You are flexible and can easily adapt to new circumstances, and you remain professional and stable in challenging situations. It is important that you can assist users with bathing and have good hearing since the work requires verbal communication with users and colleagues.
