Your Assignment As a Support Assistant, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on individually adapted activities with a focus on sensory experiences. Through music, creative activities, tactile experiences, and sensory-stimulating environments, you contribute to promoting participants' well-being, participation, and development. You adapt activities based on each individual's needs, conditions, and goals, and work with an educational approach that strengthens independence and participation. Your work includes documenting completed interventions, monitoring participants' development, and contributing to maintaining high quality in the operations. As part of daily work, you also perform standard care tasks and certain service tasks, such as cleaning, to work together with your team to create a safe, pleasant, and well-functioning operation. Description of the Workplace We are a daily activity center that provides support to people with disabilities. We place special emphasis on sensory-stimulating activities – experiences that activate the body and awaken curiosity, calmness, and joy. Your Competence We are looking for someone with experience working in daily activities or similar operations. You have relevant education in care and health services, pedagogy, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. It is meritorious if you have training in PFA (Pedagogical Approach and Working Method). We would also like to see experience working within LSS activities, experience with sensory-stimulating methods, and knowledge of working with low-affect interactions. The job requires that you as a person are independent, engaged, and have a positive attitude toward your profession. You see opportunities, are willing to take initiative, share your knowledge and experience with colleagues, and see it as a given that you contribute to a positive work environment. You also have good collaboration skills and relate to others in an attentive and flexible manner. You understand the importance of good treatment toward users, family members, and colleagues. You see the bigger picture and consider the broader perspective, understand your role and assignment, and work toward the best interests of the entire operation. We also see that you are quality-conscious and work in a structured manner with a focus on providing users with good support and high-quality operations. A driver's license for a car is a requirement for the position, as well as good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written. Great weight will be placed on personal qualities.
