The Individual and Family Administration is responsible for interventions according to the Social Services Act and the Disability Act involving individual and family care, and care for people with disabilities. Residents in need of social services can receive advice, support, and assistance. In most cases, our assistance and services are provided following an individual assessment as part of our authority functions. We are committed to ensuring that the services we provide lead to independence.
Activities focus on interventions for children, youth, and their parents, substance abuse issues, domestic violence, people with disabilities who need support in their daily living, people in need of financial assistance, labor market measures, rehabilitation, and integration.
Group Home Hanemåla 1 is located in a charming residential area in Hanemålaby with forest close by. Four unique individuals live here, each in their own apartment, and there are excellent conditions for a good life for residents and a fantastic work environment for staff. Nybro Municipality's Group Homes serve adults with physical and mental disabilities aged 21 and above.

DUTIES
As a support assistant at a group home, you work to provide support and care to users who have decisions for housing with special services. Our residents have various forms of functional variations and unique life situations. Therefore, the work is varied and stimulating, and work efforts are individually tailored. The goal is for residents to live as independently as possible and experience good quality of life. Our services operate 24/7: daytime, evenings, weekends, and on-call.
Duties are varied and may include providing support with daily activities such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry, personal care, social documentation, support in getting to activities, support for meaningful activities, and support with official contacts.
The extent of the position is between 76%-95%
QUALIFICATIONS
Care and service education, child and recreation education, or education deemed equivalent by the employer is desirable. Experience working with the autism spectrum and experience with mental health issues is desirable. Personal suitability will carry significant weight.
