Are you looking for a workplace where you can make a real difference? Then we need you! At Ribban and Viljan group homes, you'll become an important part of a dedicated team that together creates security and participation within LSS. Here we develop our operations and spread the joy of work.
Welcome to our team at Ribban and Viljan!
Job Responsibilities
As a support assistant, you provide individually tailored support in daily life, both at home and during activities outside the residence. You work based on implementation plans in close collaboration with the individual, family members, representatives, day activities, and health and medical care.
We continuously develop our operations and create clarity through adapted communication, visual supports, and other pedagogical tools. You take your own initiative and actively contribute to development work. The operations use tools such as Widgit Online and Picture My Life.
Documentation according to current legislation is an important part of the work and forms the basis for monitoring and quality in our services. The work can be physically demanding and requires good physical capacity. The assignment also requires flexibility as tasks and working hours vary. Professional conduct and good collaboration skills are a natural part of the assignment.
About the Workplace
The Social Services Department's main mission is to offer individually tailored support and services within elderly care, disability services, children and families, adults, and financial assistance. We are present for community members throughout all stages of life.
Ribban and Viljan group homes are located in Nynäshamn, with proximity to nature, services, and good communications. Ribban is located in the Backlura area and Viljan in the Utsikten area, near Sjötelegrafe shopping center and the harbor. Both group homes consist of six apartments and shared spaces including a kitchen, living room, and staff areas. They accommodate persons who have been granted housing with special services according to LSS 9 § 9.
The work team consists of seven support assistants at each unit and one group manager. Working hours are coordinated within the existing scheduling process between the two units, and when needed, duties can be placed at other LSS operations, both within regular schedules and through scheduled transfers.
We place great emphasis on respectful treatment and creating a safe and positive environment for both users and staff. We have a strong focus on development and innovative approaches, and collaboration is a prerequisite.

Personal Qualities We're Looking for
We're looking for someone who is engaged, takes responsibility, and shows initiative. You are solution-focused, see possibilities in change, and want to contribute to the development of our operations. You have a respectful and professional demeanor, collaborate well with different people, and are unpretentious in your work approach.
You follow procedures, take responsibility for documentation and administrative tasks, and understand the ethical considerations that the work entails. You are flexible, confident in handling challenges, and enjoy using digital tools and pedagogical aids to create participation and structure. For you, it's natural to build trusting relationships where humor, joy, and team spirit are a natural part of everyday life.
What We Offer You
With us, you make a difference in people's lives. You have close contact with your manager and colleagues, and influence over decisions.
Nynäshamn is a calm and safe municipality. That security exists in our teams too – we are unpretentious, encouraging, and support each other when needed.

We have an active employee association where you can rent cabins in the mountains and archipelago. You can also participate in various activities such as padel, kayaking, and horseback riding.
Our Recruitment Process
We apply continuous selection throughout the entire recruitment period. During the summer period, responses and feedback may take longer as the operations have time off. We use a competence-based recruitment method for a fair and objective assessment. Diversity is an asset, and we welcome all applicants. Nynäshamn Municipality has chosen to remove the personal letter and replaced it with selection questions that are relevant to the position. Your answers to the selection questions and your CV form the basis for whether you are qualified to move forward in the process.
This position requires an extract from the criminal record register.
