The Care and Social Services Department provides services, support, care, and assistance to the elderly and people with disabilities, and is responsible for the exercise of authority in accordance with applicable legislation. The department conducts activities within elderly care, the LSS (Act Concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), social psychiatry, health and medical care, family support, and the exercise of authority. All work is performed with the resident in focus, based on core values; respectful treatment, participation, trust, and security. WORK DUTIES The group home at Södergatan 18 A is located in Sigtuna municipality in Märsta center, within walking distance of Märsta station. Six residents with various functional differences live with us. The facility is now seeking two support assistants - one permanent position and one vicariate position that could lead to a permanent position. The work involves providing support to the residents in their daily living according to their needs and in accordance with an established implementation plan. You will work pedagogically to meet the residents' needs within the scope of the support the resident has been granted. In daily work with the residents, you apply approaches that create participation, predictability, and support in communication. The work involves providing customers with support and service in everyday life. Within the home, this includes everything from regular household tasks that occur in a home to assistance with personal care, structure during leisure activities, and social contacts. The support and service should enable each person to determine their own daily routines and to be treated with respect for their own needs and wishes. Your work duties include serving as a contact person for one or more residents, where you are responsible for monitoring the resident's support. You are responsible for ensuring that the implementation plan is established and revised, as well as risk assessments. As a contact person, you coordinate contact with, for example, the resident's legal representative, family members, day activities/housing, health and medical care, and other important contacts for the resident. The position includes maintaining social documentation and using digital tools. As a staff member, you are an important part of quality and development work through a curious and reflective approach and by working in accordance with the facility's routines, guidelines, and objectives. QUALIFICATIONS A vocational care program with a focus on functional impairments or other education deemed relevant, for example, a childcare worker education, plus three years of experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities and autism, is a requirement for the position. The facility uses occupational aids and you must have very good computer skills. Previous experience with the LifeCare documentation system is desirable. Since several of our residents challenge their environment in various ways, it is important that you as an applicant have experience working methodically with a low-affect approach. We consider it meritorious if you have good knowledge of LSS legislation and have previously worked in an LSS group home. The following qualifications are considered meritorious: • AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) • clarifying pedagogy • MI - motivational interviewing • ESL, Studio 3 • begun the Career Journey program. Our residents depend on structure and clear boundaries. We work with various visual supports and methods to ensure they experience security in their home. As a person, we are looking for someone who is responsible and has a respectful approach. You have no problem working independently, but see good teamwork as a prerequisite for the work group's development. Furthermore, you have a pedagogical and motivating approach to both your colleagues and the residents, with a strong will and drive to promote people's development based on their circumstances. You are easy to collaborate with and have an attentive approach. You work from a solution-focused perspective and need to be able to handle unforeseen events in a calm and secure manner. You must be able to follow instructions and statutory requirements and regulations connected to the work. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. The positions are permanent employment with scheduled work hours during the day, evening, and every other weekend. Selection and interviews may take place continuously during the application period.
