Your Responsibilities
The role involves providing support to individuals with varying functional abilities. The position involves working in a team environment. We support individuals in their homes with everything related to their personal care.
We work with motivational support to strengthen and maintain each individual's abilities in daily life. The work is characterized by a social perspective where the individual's needs are at the center. In our work, we support individuals so they can achieve a good quality of life based on their individual needs. Your support to the individual makes a difference and is valuable.
Working hours vary between day and evening shifts as well as every other weekend. We give you the opportunity to choose the level of employment you wish to work. We can offer a varied profession where no two days are the same. What remains constant is the energy and joy that our residents bring us in our profession every day.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for someone with relevant education to work with individuals with functional variations, such as a leisure leader, treatment pedagogue, social program with a focus on behavior, nursing assistant, or education in social work. We want you to have previous work experience in this field.
To succeed and thrive in this role, you need to be able to work independently and be flexible in your approach. You must have good self-awareness and be confident in yourself. We place great emphasis on strong collaboration skills and empathetic abilities. We want you to have a genuine interest in people and the ability to see solutions and possibilities.
The position requires you to have basic IT knowledge and be able to work with the systems we use for record-keeping and more. Since we work with social documentation, it is important that you can express yourself both in writing and verbally in the Swedish language.
A driver's license is an asset but not a requirement.

To be eligible for employment with Västervik Municipality, a certificate from the police criminal record register must be presented. You can order the certificate here: HVB-hem, e-tjänst | Polismyndigheten. Please note that processing time can be up to 2 weeks. You will need to present your certificate if you are offered a position.
