Responsibilities You will be part of a team that plans, implements, evaluates, and develops our activities based on the curriculum. You will share responsibility for teaching upper elementary grades with a mentor colleague. Together with the team, you are responsible for: - Creating and developing a safe environment that attracts and challenges students' development, participation, and learning - Preparing, evaluating, and documenting our activities - Developing good relationships with students and their guardians - Supporting and inspiring students to achieve their goals Requirements for the Position: - Certified elementary school teacher for grades 4-6 Meritorious Qualifications: - Experience working with multilingual students - Experience working with mixed-age groups - Experience working in elementary school grades 4-6 Characteristics: You work well with others, can take initiative independently, have good interpersonal skills and approach, and the ability to develop our activities. Great consideration will be given to personal suitability. About the Workplace Sternöskolan is a small, single-stream school in the city center with approximately 120 students from preschool through grade 6 and two after-school programs. The school is beautifully located on the scenic Hinseberg in central Karlshamn. Our smaller format creates great security where we know all our students. We work from a relational perspective with students' needs and conditions at the center, where language development methods are integrated throughout teaching and multilingualism is viewed as an asset.
