About the Role
Do you want a meaningful job where you can make a real difference for both society and the energy transition? With us, you are part of a socially important operation with exciting projects, cutting-edge technology, and colleagues who value one another.
We are now looking for several experienced Station Technicians who want to be part of building the maintenance operations of the future!
We are facing one of Vattenfall Eldistribution's largest initiatives ever – a historic mobilization to build a stronger, more resilient, and entirely independent capability within maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. At a time when the world is placing ever-higher demands on robustness and durability, we are taking decisive steps to ensure a power grid that can handle difficult conditions and delivers when it matters most.
Responsibilities and Tasks
As a Station Technician, you have a central role in ensuring that our electrical power plants from 0.4 up to 400 kV are safe, available, and prepared for future energy needs. In this role, you get varied and practical fieldwork where you combine advanced technical problem-solving with careful digital documentation. Together with colleagues in operations, maintenance, and projects, you contribute to a power grid with high operational reliability and quality, where your technical expertise makes a real difference in everyday work, both for our facilities and for society.
Your main responsibilities include:
Performing service, operations, maintenance, construction, and troubleshooting in stations and electrical power installations
Conducting rounds, inspections, and checks according to established maintenance programs and reporting deviations
Working in accordance with ESA, EBR, and applicable safety procedures, and participating in risk assessments and work planning
Performing maintenance, repairs, and switchgear operations on equipment such as transformers, circuit breakers, disconnectors, tap changers, battery systems, and carrying out thermography and grounding checks, etc.
Minor modifications and fault corrections may be part of the role
Documenting completed work and managing work orders in our digital systems
Contributing to the development of work methods and procedures for increased safety and quality
The role involves a strong focus on safety, quality, progress, and commitment. Safety is the guiding star in everything we do – in a risky environment, we take care of one another and create security together.
Work is carried out on behalf of the maintenance supervisor. Travel within the region and on-call duty may be a natural part of the assignment.
Requirements
We are looking for someone with good technical understanding, strong safety awareness, and an interest in working with complex electrical power installations. You are structured, thorough, and take responsibility for both quality and safety in your work.
We would like to see that you have:
Secondary education in electrical power/electricity or equivalent vocational training
Experience as a station technician, electrical technician, distribution electrician, industrial electrician, or similar
Fluent Swedish in speech and writing
Driver's license category B
It is an advantage if you have good ability to read drawings, electrical schematics, and technical documentation, as well as a basic understanding of control, protection, and monitoring systems.
