Steel Assemblers/Steel Structure Installers Wanted

SCR Consulting AB is seeking two experienced steel assemblers for work at a data center. This position is ideal for you if you have experience assembling steel structures and are accustomed to working safely and meticulously on construction or industrial projects. Job Responsibilities As a steel assembler, you will primarily work with: - Assembly and installation of load-bearing and supplementary steel structures. - Assembly of steel beams, columns, bracing, consoles, platforms, and other steel elements. - Joining steel parts through bolted and screwed connections. - Fitting, alignment, leveling, and adjustment of structures. - Measuring, marking, and inspection prior to assembly. - Reading and interpreting assembly and construction drawings. - Working from lifts and at heights. - Load attachment, guidance, and receiving of materials during lifting operations, when the work requires it. - Use of hand tools and power-driven tools. - Possible cutting, grinding, and basic welding work. - Ongoing inspection to ensure work is performed according to drawings, instructions, and safety requirements. - Collaboration with work supervisors, crane operators, and other trades on site. The work can be physically demanding and is performed partly at height. Therefore, it is important that you are safety-conscious and comfortable with this type of work environment. Requirements We are looking for someone who: - Has documented experience in steel assembly, steel structures, or similar assembly work. - Can read and understand assembly and construction drawings. - Has experience with bolted and screwed connections. - Can use common hand tools, measuring tools, and power-driven tools. - Can work at height and use personal fall protection equipment. - Has a good understanding of workplace safety and health on construction sites. - Can work both independently and as part of a team. - Is thorough, responsible, and reliable. - Can communicate in English. - Has the right to work in Sweden. Education and Certifications Depending on the work tasks to be performed, the following are required for the position: - Valid certification for mobile elevated work platforms, such as scissor lifts and boom lifts. - Fall protection training with practical exercises. - Training in safe lifting/load attachment and signaling, if the work includes lifting operations. - Valid Hot Work Certification, if cutting, grinding, welding, or other fire hazardous work is included. - Valid welder's certification for the applicable welding method and material, if qualified welding work is part of the position.
