We are now looking for an engaged and collaboration-oriented city lawyer who wants to take on a key role where you work closely with both operations and decision-makers. We need your expertise, and you will make great impact and difference with us.

WORK TASKS
As a city lawyer, you'll work closely with the municipal director and political leadership. Much of your work will involve providing legal support, training, and guidance to managers and staff, as well as working on municipality-wide development issues. The role includes developing the municipality's work methods, procedures, and governing documents, as well as assisting with your legal expertise in preparing materials for political decisions. With us, there is also room for both sound judgment and a willingness to do things in a smarter way.
You will represent the municipality in various legal proceedings, such as in legality reviews and appeals of procurement decisions. The role includes work in areas such as municipal law, public access to information and confidentiality, public procurement, municipal competition law, and corporate governance issues.
Organizationally, you will be part of the main assignment Municipal Leadership, led by the municipal director. Your manager will be the operations manager for HR, administration, legal affairs, and public guardianship.
You will be physically located at City Hall in Ängelholm together with many colleagues from the Municipal Leadership main assignment and the municipal director's staff units.
Our external environment is changing rapidly, and we are on an exciting development journey. You are therefore also expected to monitor the external environment and provide legal perspectives on various matters affecting the municipality.

We are looking for someone who has:
A law degree (jur.kand.)
Extensive knowledge of municipal law and public access to information and confidentiality
Excellent ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
It is advantageous if you have:
Several years of experience with legal work in the public sector, preferably in municipal operations.
Experience with legal work at a law firm
Experience in providing training and leading development initiatives
Court experience from both general courts and administrative courts
Ängelholms kommun is currently also seeking a municipal lawyer with a focus on education and welfare. This means there will be a lawyer colleague in the Learning and Family main assignment, which provides good opportunities for professional consultation and close collaboration.
