Your Workplace We are located in Våxnäs center approximately ten minutes from Karlstad with good bus and cycling options. We offer a good workplace with experienced specialists in general medicine. Currently, we have five specialists, two ST resident physicians, and one AT resident physician. We have a well-staffed team with district and nurses, psychiatric nurses, nursing assistants, social worker, psychologist, and healthcare administrators. We have approximately 11,000 registered patients in our area and work closely with Karlstad municipality's social services assessor, who is also located with us. Your Responsibilities As a physician with us, you'll get challenging and exciting work with good conditions for broad training within the specialty. Your training will be customized in consultation with your mentor, but we follow Region Värmland's training program for ST resident physicians. Our current ST resident physicians really want to emphasize our mentoring, both the systematic weekly mentoring and the daily guidance. This creates security and reduces delays in assessments and decisions. As an ST resident physician at Västerstrand, you'll get varied and stimulating work with: Scheduled consultations and acute patient cases. Some on-call and standby service in consultation with your mentor. Active participation in operations development focusing on accessibility, patient safety, and quality. Distributed side assignments, such as responsibility for residential care facilities (SÄBO) or work at a midwifery clinic, may occur. Your Knowledge and Competencies We're looking for you as a licensed physician with an interest in primary care and who wants to become a specialist in general medicine. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language and should also have the authorization to work within Swedish healthcare and want to be part of developing the operations to become even better. As a person, you are responsible, structured, and have a pleasant demeanor. You enjoy patient encounters and always put the patient in focus, while having the ability to see the bigger picture of the operations. You are flexible and can adapt your work style to changing circumstances. You prioritize and organize your work efficiently and prefer to work in collaboration with others. You also have an easy time understanding and empathizing with other people's situations.
