The County Clinic for Obstetrics and Gynecology operates broad services in both gynecology and obstetrics at Norrbotten's five hospitals. What you will work with The County Clinic for Obstetrics and Gynecology operates services in both gynecology and obstetrics at Norrbotten's five hospitals. Sunderby Hospital is a modern regional hospital. Both maternity care and gynecological outpatient and inpatient care are provided here. Norrbotten is a geographically large region with fantastic opportunities for outdoor activities during all four seasons. There is also a rich cultural life. At the clinic we work in process areas together with other professions within gynecological cancer, dysplasia, infertility, pelvic floor, endometriosis, abortion care, specialist maternal care, normal delivery and more. The clinic has approximately 30 doctors. We have a very good atmosphere among colleagues and good cooperation with other staff. We provide outpatient and inpatient gynecological care as well as specialist consultations. Cancer care is conducted in close cooperation with the Gynecological Oncology Clinic at Umeå University Hospital, where most of the cancer surgery is performed. At Sunderby Hospital, mainly benign surgery is performed. We also have a surgical robot at Sunderby. We also have a growing activity with office-based procedures. Maternity care is located at Sunderby and Gällivare hospitals with approximately 1,600 and 450 deliveries per year, respectively. We deliver babies from week 28 at Sunderby Hospital. Neonatal units are located at both hospitals. We are a teaching clinic with regional medical education. Training and mentoring of students and junior doctors is an important part of the work. You will be employed by the county clinic with the possibility of main placement at Sunderby Hospital. Some service work elsewhere in the county, for example in Piteå and Kalix, occurs. Working hours are scheduled on weekdays between 07:30-16:00, on-call work is included. Start date is by agreement. Selection and interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis and the position may be filled before the final application deadline.
