Our offering
In Region Östergötland, 33 primary care centers work together with Vårdcentrum Finspång, the Child Health Care Unit, 1177 and on-call centers for evenings and weekends, and the General Medicine Education Center to provide the region's residents with the best possible care. We conduct broad primary care operations where we offer care to everyone throughout life; newborns, children, adolescents, adults, elderly, and end-of-life patients. The opportunity to complete BT training as part of your permanent employment as ST
550 residents as a full-time ST physician when you are midway through your ST and as a newly qualified specialist physician 1100 residents.
Region Östergötland's ST training in general medicine is organized by the General Medicine Education Center (AMC), where study directors and education secretaries coordinate side training, arrange courses and education, and participate in developing the ST physician's training plan. As of 2025, Vårdcentralen Skärblacka and Finspång are a joint operational area. The change aims to create a robust operation that is equipped in the future to handle the demographic challenges we face.
The operations currently have together nearly 27,000 registered patients and a workforce of over 130 employees. The new operational area includes Vårdcentralen Skärblacka and Vårdcentralen Finspång as well as the Finspång On-call Center. Also included in Vårdcentralen Finspång is a branch in Rejmyre.

Job description
We offer you a challenging and varied job. We believe that you are seeking primary care because you are interested in the breadth of the specialty of general medicine and can imagine a future in primary care. As an ST-physician with us you will receive regular supervision and in addition to participating in ST meetings, the opportunity to participate in training together with other junior physicians, AT-physicians and ST-physicians at the primary care center.
As an ST-physician you work with your own patient list. You meet patients of all ages in your own practice. During your time at the primary care center you will for a period be responsible for sheltered housing and work at the child health clinic. You will supervise students, conduct development and research work.
You work weekdays and daytime primarily, further into your ST training you will work on-call shifts in evenings, weekends and nights.
Work group
At Skärblacka primary care center we are approximately 30 employees in different professional roles. We have close collaboration where we together work for the best care of our patients.
The physician group at Vårdcentralen Skärblacka consists of five specialist physicians and one licensed physician. During certain periods we have both AT-physicians and medical students in our operations.

About you
You are a licensed physician and hold a medical license issued by the National Board of Health and Welfare. You have Swedish language skills corresponding to a documented level C1, as you will need to communicate with patients, relatives and colleagues unimpeded. If you have not completed AT or have approved Basic competence according to BT, there is the possibility to do BT during the first year of employment.
As a person you have good collaboration skills and can plan, organize and prioritize your work. You have good judgment and communicate clearly. We want you to be unpretentious and enjoy working in a team. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
