Primärvårdscentrum Östergötland consists of 33 region-operated health centers, four urgent care centers, Vårdcentrum Finspång, the child health unit, the vaccination clinic, 1177, and the general medicine training center. We operate broad primary care services where we provide care to everyone throughout life; newborns, children, adolescents, adults, elderly, and patients in end-of-life care.

Region Östergötland's ST training in general medicine is organized by the General Medicine Training Center (AMC), where study directors and training secretaries coordinate side educations, arrange courses and trainings, and participate in shaping the ST doctor's training plan. Read more about AMC.

Job Description
We offer you a challenging and varied position. We believe that you are seeking primary care because you are interested in the breadth of the general medicine specialty and can envision a future in primary care. As an ST doctor with us, you will receive regular supervision and, in addition to attending ST meetings, have the opportunity to participate in training together with other junior doctors, AT doctors, and ST doctors at the health center.
Vårdcentralen Vadstena is a smaller health center undergoing strong development! We have recently hired permanent district doctors and are working toward a good work environment and strong community where every employee is valued and part of our team. We welcome all new employees and want to be a positive part of Vadstena residents' daily lives. Vadstena is beautifully located by Lake Vättern and has an old-fashioned character with narrow alleys and historic buildings that define the city center. There is plenty of culture, as well as sports activities and outdoor recreation. In Vadstena, the whole family thrives, and there are also good commuting options to and from nearby towns by both train and bus.

About You
You are a licensed physician and hold a medical license issued by the National Board of Health and Welfare. You have Swedish language skills corresponding to documented level C1, as you will need to communicate freely with patients, relatives, and colleagues. If you have not completed AT or have approved Basic Competence according to BT, there is the possibility to complete BT during the first year of employment.
You have good collaboration skills and can plan, organize, and prioritize your work. You have good judgment and communicate clearly. We want you to be unpretentious and enjoy working in a team. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
