The specialty of general medicine is characterized by meeting patients throughout their lives. As a specialty doctor (ST), you will meet people of all ages and learn, under quality-assured supervision, to independently assess and treat patients with a wide range of diagnoses. You follow patients over time and are trained to consider the person's entire life situation. Primary care is now seeking 3 specialty doctors (ST) for positions at one of our health centers in the Skellefteå local care area. We match your preferences regarding placement with available supervisors. Would you like to work near the city or in a rural area? At a larger health center or at the smaller, more intimate health center? In a small community or in the city center? Placement opportunities are available in all three of our primary care areas: - Area South: Anderstorp, Bureå, Burträsk, and Lövånger health centers. - Area West: Erikslid, Heimdall, Boliden, and Norsjö health centers. - Area North: Moröbacke, Ursviken, Kåge, and Byske health centers. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis. 3 position(s). DUTIES As a specialty doctor (ST) with us, you contribute to caring for others and helping people feel better. Primary care shall, without limitations regarding diseases, age, or patient groups, meet the population's need for basic medical treatment, care, preventive work, and rehabilitation that does not require the medical and technical resources of hospitals or other specialized expertise. As a specialty doctor within general medicine, you meet patients with a wide variety of diagnoses in both scheduled and acute care settings. Together with colleagues from various professions, you create good and accessible care for patients and their families. Patient interactions occur both in-person and digitally. Beyond the specialty-specific program, you also participate in LEKA training as a specialty doctor (ST). A program focused on leadership, economics, communication, administration, ethics, and time for personal reflection for specialty doctors (ST) within Region Västerbotten. On-call and/or standby duty are part of the position. QUALIFICATIONS You have a Swedish medical license with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare by your start date. We also see that you have an interest in specializing within general medicine. To manage the work, you need good knowledge of the Swedish language at level C1 or equivalent. A category B driver's license is required for specialty doctor (ST) positions within primary care. Consideration is given to personal suitability and ability to collaborate.
