SSAB - Maintenance Technician at the Steel Mill (Mechanical) Strängen Area

We are now looking for you to work in a leading role in the UH Steel Mill section with a focus on mechanical systems. You will have the opportunity to work in an exciting industrial environment with a strong focus on safety, environment, quality, and continuous improvements. You will serve as technical support for day-shift mechanics, machine operators, and emergency response teams working shifts. Work location: Oxelösund. You will work with planning and preparation of maintenance work as well as preventive maintenance within mechanics, where the focus is on continuous improvements. You will get to work with colleagues in various operations. The team you will join consists of 7 technicians, of which 2 are focused on media, 1 on crane mechanics, and 4 are focused on mechanics. The team also includes colleagues on the execution side working with hydraulics, pipe welding, and mechanics. Your main areas of responsibility: - Conduct preventive maintenance and improvement work - Analyze occurring disruptions and develop action proposals - Plan maintenance shutdowns in consultation with operations - Keep yourself daily updated on the status of the facilities - Participate in facility projects - Develop proposals for long-term maintenance plan and budget for your area (together with SAT) About you: - You have mechanical training with several years of experience - You have an interest in technology and want to work with development and improvements - You thrive in a coordinating role with both administrative and practical tasks - You are a team player and value communication and collaboration - You are comfortable with varying days and new challenges - You have a supervisory profile Our offer: At SSAB, diversity and inclusion are part of our culture.
