About the position
As a process engineer, you will be part of the Process Development and Logistics section, which is an important part of SSAB Luleå's production. The section is part of the Steel Mill Division, which is responsible for the manufacture of ingots with associated processes from desulfurization to continuous casting. The section consists of several process engineers who support production with process and quality-related matters.
The development of new steels is a challenging task in the work of continuously improving quality, productivity and availability in the production lines. Our ambition is to do this in parallel with developing our employees and organization toward safe and developmental work.
Your responsibility as a process engineer is to monitor and develop our process in close cooperation with operators and other production personnel, and therefore great emphasis will be placed on your personal qualities.
Your main areas of responsibility
Monitor and evaluate process data
Perform and participate in root cause analyses and plan measures for process-related production disruptions
Investigate and follow up on quality deviations
Participate in developing common work practices
Identify and drive improvement initiatives within process development
Participate in process-related investment projects
Plan and conduct operator training
About you
