About the Position Within Cold Rolling Maintenance, approximately 50 people work with mechanical and electrical maintenance. The department also has coordinators, planners, and technicians to provide support. As a mechanic in our operations and maintenance unit, you will primarily perform preventive maintenance work, condition inspections, and corrective maintenance of all mechanical equipment in the field. Therefore, our mechanics are an important part of the preventive maintenance work at SSAB Borlänge. Your tasks include troubleshooting, performing maintenance measures, reading drawings, root cause analyses, planning and preparing your own work in our maintenance system IFS. You will also participate in improvement initiatives and projects. Your Main Responsibilities Prepare and perform maintenance measures with high quality Plan and prepare your own work in the maintenance system Participate in improvement initiatives and projects About You You have: Secondary education in mechanics, preferably within process industry, or work experience that the employer considers equivalent Previous experience working with maintenance systems B-class driver's license Very good knowledge of the Swedish language Merits Experience with maintenance work as a mechanic within process industry Experience with motor and shaft alignment Personal Qualities We are looking for someone with good collaboration skills who appreciates working with colleagues from different professional backgrounds.
