About the Position Cold rolling consists of the sections Pickling, Rolling & Slitting, and Annealing. We produce pickled, cold-rolled, and annealed material for internal and external customers. The Rolling & Slitting section consists of the departments Tandem, Rolling Mill Finishing, and Slitting Line 1 & 2. We are now looking for an Operations Manager for the Rolling Mill Finishing department where you work to ensure the section achieves its set production targets. You are expected to actively analyze, initiate, and implement activities that improve the section's production stability. In your daily work, you work closely with the section's management team, maintenance, shift teams, procurement, and process and quality technicians. You are responsible for delivering results and developing the business in line with SSAB's strategy and values, and as we strive to become the world's safest steel company, safety is an important part of our daily work. Your Main Areas of Responsibility Responsible for ensuring the section achieves its set goals for production stability and productivity, and contributes to achieving goals in strategy, delivery reliability, and work environment. Analyze, initiate, and implement activities/projects that lead to improvements in the section's production stability and productivity, and generate investment proposals. Initiate and lead root cause analyses. Responsible for development/procurement of various grinding wheels, grinding discs, grinding fluid, bearings, chemicals, and other consumable materials. In this role, you are also the contact person towards external suppliers. About You We are looking for someone who has a strong interest in developing technology and working methods. You have good analytical skills and work systematically to solve technical problems. You drive your tasks forward and ensure that they deliver results. You thrive in a role where you both work practically with handling production disruptions and contribute to long-term improvements. We would like to see that you have broad experience from working in operations or maintenance. We place great importance on your personal qualities. You are responsible, proactive, and collaborative, with a positive attitude. You communicate and collaborate easily with people in different roles and at different levels.
