Your new job
In Jönköping Municipality, a unique initiative is underway for language development in our preschools and primary schools. Working as a language pedagogue at one of the 15 primary schools that have received language pedagogue positions is part of this initiative.
As a language pedagogue, based on the school's needs and student results, you will work in collaboration to develop teaching in preschool class, grade 1 and after-school care. You will work from a centrally developed assignment description and together with the principal develop your school-specific assignment. Your work includes leading and supporting collegial development processes based on research and proven experience to help increase the school unit's expertise in language, reading and writing development. You will also support students in preschool class and grade 1 at group level in their language, reading and writing development and carry out initiatives together with the work team. Based on a language plan developed in the municipality, you will ensure that teaching in preschool class and grade 1 is based on scientific grounds and proven experience.

Ribbaskolan's F-6 school is located in Gränna and has approximately 250 students. We have beautiful, functional facilities in a beautiful and inspiring environment, between Grännaberget and Vättern. The school also has after-school care. Our school area also includes Kumlabyskolan, which is located on Visingsö.
Ribbaskolan is located in an area rich in culture, recreational activities and nature experiences, which provides the very best conditions for a pleasant school environment. Your expertise
We are looking for someone who is a certified teacher with a focus on younger ages and has several years of experience teaching reading and writing development in younger ages.
We see that you have experience of language development work and driving development projects as part of systematic quality work. You have experience in improving student academic results and a strong interest in developing teaching. You have good analytical skills, have the courage to act to contribute to change, can structure your work efficiently and can drive your work forward on your own. As a person, you have a natural ability to create trusting relationships.
Good to know
The language pedagogue position is a permanent employment with vacation service and flexible hours within the Education Administration in Jönköping Municipality. Your direct supervisor is the principal. All language pedagogues are part of a network that has continuous collegial meetings.
